Summary

Support and enhance children's learning in mathematics and English and improve progress by utilising the curiosity and enthusiasm generated through science.

Teachers will identify opportunities to apply mathematical skills and develop high standards of language and literacy through effective science teaching. There will be opportunities to develop curriculum planning that will enable children to enhance their learning in mathematics and English through science based contexts.

This course is for primary teachers and science subject leaders.

    ⚪   Real contexts as a stimulus for science, English and mathematics

How long is the course?

This is a four-day intensive residential course split into two residential periods. Fees include meals and accommodation for the duration of the course.

    Professional Development Leader, specialising in STEM, employed at York University and in Lincolnshire schools. 


Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

    ✔️   Plan a whole school approach to leading and embedding mathematics and English in science
