The assessment and implications of AO2 in the reformed Science GCSE and a closer look at this year’s GCSE awarding process

Julian Clarke is the Head of Curriculum for Science at AQA and has supported the delivery of the Science Curriculum in secondary schools for over 15 years through a range of advisory positions including Senior Advisor for Science and STEM for the National Strategies. 

Alex Daluiso is one of AQA’s Relationship Managers, offering local support for teachers in schools and colleges. He has 12 years’ experience in teaching Science and leading departments in secondary schools across Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire.

Programme

1:00pm to 1:30pm - Light lunch and networking

1:30pm to 3:00pm - A02 and the awarding process in science (Julian Clarke)

3:00pm to 3:15pm - Tea and coffee break

3:15pm to 3:45pm - Question and Answer session (Julian Clarke)

3:45pm to 4:10pm - Getting the most from the Enhanced Results Analysis tool (Alex Daluiso)

4:10pm to 4:30pm - Networking
