Summary

Within this day, teachers will work collaboratively and cross phase.  You will have more of a shared understanding of science teaching in the phases before / after the one in which you teach.  We'll use the Working Scientifically strand of the curriculum as a vehicle for this, and will spend time looking at developing thinking skills in science.  You will be able to work with other teachers to plan how to use them in school.

Outcomes

You will have:

  • Increasing knowledge of transition in science
  • Developing an understanding of developing thinking skills in science
