Summary
This network event will explore the 4 sections of the Technicians’ Commitment. A combination of presenter input and group working will identify how these sections (Visibility, Recognition, Career Development and Sustainability) apply to individual technicians and how you can use them to make a difference at work.

Outcomes
Following this event, you will:
- develop some ideas to raise the profile of technicians within your own institution
- gain an understanding of how far the sector has progressed towards the professionalising of technicians
- raise awareness of the individual actions that technicians can take to contribute to the Technicians’ Commitment, and to personally benefit from their institutions’ involvement in the scheme
