Summary
With curriculum change at A level and GCSE on the horizon presenting challenges for school science departments, it seems an appropriate time for those supporting school science to meet to discuss this session will be hands on, have a go, then collaborate ideas.
Outcomes
You will be able to:
- Investigation on the effect of pH on the rate of reaction of amylase enzyme
- Identifying ions: Use of chemical tests to identify the ions in unknown ionic compounds
- Investigation into the effect of varying the force on the acceleration of an object of constant mass and the effect of varying the mass of an object on the acceleration produced by a constant force

- Basic microscope maintenance, including fitting of graticules and their use in required practicals
- Plus how to set up the Specific Heat Apparatus and Force and Extension in a spring pitfalls
