Working with an experienced science leader, you will develop your vision and leadership skills to enable you to lead an effective and vibrant science team. By improving your leadership and management skills you will help your team teach more effectively so students achieve their potential.
Outcomes
You will be able to:
- use data analysis and information to identify key priorities for departmental improvement
- analyse common challenges and explore solutions to address them
- evaluate and select strategies to implement successful teamwork and lead change
- develop a vision for teaching and learning in science by sharing ideas with other new leaders

This fantastic course offers great value for money by covering the essential leadership components required to effectively lead a science team, whilst enabling participants to complete and peer review departmental SEFs and action plans. This is a hands on course which will require participants to complete and regularly review departmental monitoring and analysis, evidencing the impact of their leadership in developing their science team. Offering support to new and aspiring science leaders throughout the year, this course is a unique blend of face to face learning and independent gap tasks. There is also an option to add "bolt ons" onto this package, such as bespoke in-school support for science leadership or CPD for the whole science team.
