Does your school have non-science specialist teaching science at Key Stage 3? Indeed, are you a non-science specialist teaching science?
This course is designed so that you will be able to teach pre-GCSE level science confidently whilst developing a repertoire of practical activities and embed working scientifically in your everyday teaching.
Outcomes
You will be able to:
- improve your confidence and competence in teaching biology, chemistry and physics
- plan for inclusion of working scientifically
- identify opportunities to develop practical science skills in lessons
Notes
The minimum attendance would be two days with course RA297 B02 Key Stage 3 science for non-science specialists being compulsory on 26 May 2017, whilst days two to four will have a focus on biology (RA297 B04), chemistry (RA297 B03) and physics (RA297 B05) and charged at a separate fee.
These will need to be booked separately.
