Take part in a virtual field trip to the Seychelles with Paul Rose - 4th March
'Exploring By The Seat' have a short notice opportunity to take a virtual field trip to the Seychelles and meet BBC host and underwater expedition leader Paul Rose on 4th March. Paul is in the Seychelles with the United Nations launching an exciting new photo contest for classrooms around ocean plastics. You’ll join Paul on the beach, at a big beach clean-up event. Students will get the chance to ask Paul some questions and learn all about the new UN photo contest. If your class would like to join in send a message to Joe, at Exploring by the Seat of Your Pants. They’re looking for classrooms to join in camera spots with Zoom Video Conferencing and to interact with Paul and his team. Classrooms can also tune in live via YouTube and send in questions via the live chat side bar. It's really easy to join either way and they can set you up and even do a test call.
Exploring by the Seat of Your Pants is launching in the UK. They inspire the next generation of scientists and explorers by bringing live virtual speakers and field trips into classrooms. They’ve been doing this since 2015 in North America and have run well over 1,000 events, connecting hundreds of thousands of students with scientists and explorers in over 75 countries. Some of their events use satellite technology to broadcast live into classrooms from the most remote regions of the planet. What they do is and always will be 100% free for classrooms everywhere. Classes can join and interact in camera spots, live via the YouTube stream or even tune in later via the recordings.
