STEM Exploration Grants Funding Opportunity for UK Schools and Colleges

The STEM Clubs Programme is offering £250 grants to non-fee paying UK schools and colleges with students between the ages of 5 and 18 to support curricular and extra-curricular STEM provision. The grant is intended to assist schools to develop a project or idea that aids student learning through scientific investigation. The STEM Exploration Grant can be used to start a STEM Club, trial activities, facilitate learning with partner schools, purchase materials, equipment or CPD, anything that helps the school or college develop the idea.

Successful applicants will be able to collaborate with a STEM Partner, such as a STEM Ambassador to help develop the idea into a project proposal that can be entered into the 2020 round of Partnership Grants from the Royal Society.

Thank you to everyone who applied for a grant. The grant is now closed to applications and we will contact everyone who applied in the next few days.

We are delighted with the number of high quality and inspirational applications, it has made selecting the schools to award grants to very difficult. We can see that working with the successful schools over the next few months is going to be very exciting!
