STEM Clubs Are Up and Running!
Many STEM Clubs across the UK are still up and running - just based in peoples homes, with students taking part in activities and challenges set by their club leaders.
The STEM Clubs Team have put together a quick online course to help club leaders keep their clubs running and keep their club members motivated. The course takes about an hour to do and is a drop in and out at your convenience. It is a series of discussion posts and videos, thanks to some of our brilliant club leaders volunteering to provide us with sage advice and ideas.
The course covers topics on how to reach out to your students, guidance on safe usage of the internet and digital communication tools, activity ideas, how to engage with STEM Ambassadors and much more. The idea is to give you the tools you need to run your clubs without being in school. The course will also give you plenty of ideas for what to do when you are back in school and need to jump start the club again. The course is free to attend and is designed for STEM club leaders in UK based schools, primary and secondary, simply register for the next course and take part. https://www.stem.org.uk/cpd/search?cpd_query=stem+clubs&location_op=25&location=
Those looking for more in-depth STEM Clubs related courses should try one of our STEM Club Champions courses - yes we've still got them running and they are in an online learning format. They will resume as face to face sessions in due course, but for now you can do all of the learning from the comfort of your own home. These courses have really valuable information to help clubs leaders, whatever their subject or type of STEM Club, maximise the benefit and impact of the club, so that your club can be the most sought after club in school. https://www.stem.org.uk/stem-clubs/workshops
