Tracker software for A-level Physics

https://physlets.org/tracker/

This is an excellent piece of free video motion analysis software. I use it a lot with my KS5 Physics groups. It's powerful, but not especially intuitive. Once the students get the hang of it they are able to take video of moving objects with their mobile phones and import it into the software. They can then choose part of the moving object and have the software autotrack it and plot displacement, velocity and acceleration time graphs.

Using it to track the motion of a simple pendulum is an incredible way to introduce the equations of SHM. My A-level classes learned how to use it by videoing cars rolling down home made ramps during lockdown.

I'm happy to share tips and ideas if there is interest.
