The cost of study

How much does it cost to study at university?

This London Economics report suggests studying A levels increases future wages. Surely the same is true for university? For many 16-19 year old students, including those studying Core Maths, this will be one of the most important and decisions that they will have to make.

In the Core Maths activity The cost of study’ invites students to explore the costs associated with studying at university. It is based on a Your Financial Future activity, by the Tower Hamlets Business Education Partnership

During the activity, students are asked the following:

  • How does going to university compare with getting a job at 18, or studying with the Open University?
  • How much could you save by staying at home while studying for a degree versus going away to university?
