Data skills for all - free event with Royal Society and STEM Learning
Following the successful launch in May 2019 of the Royal Society’s policy report, Dynamics of Data Science Skills, Royal Society will host a workshop for primary and secondary educators across the curriculum, on September 13 at the National STEM Learning Centre in York.
This workshop will focus on developing key knowledge and skills by exploring how data science skills can be built into the curriculum and supporting teachers to do this.
Discussions will cover:
- the challenges and opportunities around teaching data skills in schools;
- knowledge sharing and best practice through practical sessions;
- findings from the Royal Society Dynamics of Data Science Skills project, report and accompanying packs
