Pointcarre alternatives

Hi Everyone,

A quick question for textiles staff: we have been using Pointcarre within our weave area for a number of years mainly wiht our dobby and jacquard looms. What similar software are other institutions using? Are there alternatives?

Just fact finding at the moment.

Hi John,

We also use Pointcarre at Trent - its oh so fun...

I know that Derby use Apso Designer, and we have considered transferring to this as is seems to be a bit more friendly to the user.

Other software that I've looked into are Scott Weave and Weave Maker, but they seem to be a little more basic or not as compitent as Pointcarre or Apso.

Are you also looking to change?
