Dear colleagues
I look forward to discussions on a wide range of topics at our forthcoming meeting. However there is one thing that I would particularly like your help and support with folowing requests and suggestions from Technical colleagues. It is the age old issue of Technical Apprenticeships. We talk about models of succession planning and are moving to be included in these discussions as our voice through HEaTED becomes stronger so let's start to try to address apprenticeships for HEIs in the South East.
We could start by thinking about
1. What HEIs already have/are doing?
2. Produce case study examples of areas of good practice
3. Share resources and knowledge
4. Think of how we might take this forward for the region. Is there a workshop or seminar for interested parties?
5. Who might we contact to find out more/invite to a meeting/help us run a seminar or workshop?
This is a great time for the SE Region as we begin to grow this new partnership. We are most fortunate to have a rich diversity of Institutions and talent, what a powerful resource! We can start to crack this nut and move on to explore all sorts of other things through the Network(s).
Please put some thought into this and come prepared to contribute. Bring articles, papers, resources and your ideas. Let's get talking. Matt Levi
