On line meetings?

Well, we often complain about communications within our HEIs so here is a chance to discuss this very important issue regarding our own communication practices! We meet as a Region a couple of times a year and do a reasonable job of keeping in touch with each other given our busy and demanding lives so what do we think about virtual meetings/seminars/workshops etc? We are after all Technical Professionals and at the forefront of Technology and learning, and not just in the UK.Would anyone like to offer an on-line event? Is it a good idea? Might we lead from the front as a region and take the initiative? We should learn from each other and have a go in my view!!!!!
