Do you want to join a team supporting world class research activities?

We are looking for a professional and proactive individual to join our technical team to support research and general activities in mechanical engineering-related laboratory facilities within the Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering.

You will be providing support for experimental activities by working in the iMBE laboratories and the Faculty of Engineering workshop using effective technical skills for specialised medical and biological applications.

Providing advice to a diverse range of students, academic and research staff, you will act as a point of expertise. Your role will include manufacture and assembly, using conventional precision machine shop practice, of experimental equipment and apparatus. It will also include problem solving, setting up, servicing and maintaining a range of experimental simulation equipment and apparatus

You will be qualified to HNC, City & Guilds or BTEC level 4 in mechanical engineering or hold equivalent qualifications and experience; and have experience in a mechanical engineering related environment.
