face to face interviews for Professional Registration

Following on from discussions at the last HEaTED Scottish event at St Andrews, I would be grateful to hear your views/opinions on bringing to Scotland face to face interviews for Professional Registartion.

Please get in touch if you would be interested in this form of Registration and I will try to progress this initiative.

Hi Val,

I would definitely hope to have a face to face interview (actually I thought this was already in place). During my recent experience of filling out the competencies form, I found that I often interpreted the questions differently/wrongly when comparing my answers to those of the example answers. I also assumed that an assessor might be able to help "tease" answers out of you in a face to face interview, which you may not have thought to include in the written format, and thus some people may come across better in person than on paper?
