COSHH awareness training workshop, Keele 30/11/15

As an integral part of day-to-day activities, it is not uncommon for most organisations to use substances that are marked as hazardous.

Substances that are hazardous to health are defined under the COSHH regulations as those that are very toxic, toxic, corrosive, harmful or irritant and include all substances that are allocated a Workplace Exposure Limit (WEL), certain biological agents connected with work and substantial volumes of dust.

This course is aimed at providing straight forward guidance on understanding the COSHH regulations, including understanding the scope and content of safety data sheets, carrying out COSHH risk assessments and dealing with hazardous waste.
