Welcome to HEaTED's Yorkshire online community! The following outlines a few points of good practice when using online commnunities, which may help this community area be as helpful as possible for all users.

- Before adding a new topic, please check that what you wish to post doesn’t already have a natural home. For example, if you are commenting following discussions at a meeting there should already be a topic for the meeting (containing the agenda etc), so you can post a reply to this rather than starting a new topic.

- When you start a new topic please make the heading generic if possible, this will help others to identify its relevance to them. 

- Posts that don’t naturally fit elsewhere and won’t have an ongoing discussion (usually because they are information sharing, and/or time limited) will fit under a 'General Information' topic, 

- Topics may occasionally be deleted – usually because they inspire a better way of organising information in the group, so please don’t be offended!

- Helpful information on how to use the Online Groups can be found here <the link to the online Community Groups User Guide will be placed here when available>.

And of course please post other best practice ideas by replying here, so we can all share them.
