0Here at HEaTED we aim to highlight best practice in the support and development of technical staff by our member Institutions.
The University of Leeds is holding a Technicians Network event on August the 5th 2014. The event is jointly coordinated by colleagues in their Staff and Departmental Development Unit (SSDU) and the Faculty of Medicine and Health. The event is open to all technicians across the University of Leeds and the main topic will be Professional Registration…“What's in it for technicians?” “Is it worth it?”. There will also be a talk from a Sheffield University Technician, Natalie Kennerly, who is involved with the Sheffield Technicians' Network. The event will also promote the new Technical Staff Development webpage, developed by SDDU to assist technical colleagues in planning their professional development.
HEaTED promote this practice, supporting our member University’s internal Technical Networks and Conferences through the provision of information and by delivering workshops at many such events each year.
