The University of Sheffield, Thursday 19 February 2015.
Venue: The Council Room, The University of Sheffield, Firth Court, Western Bank, Sheffield, S10 2TN.
Finding Firth Court
Parking at the University is extremely limited. If you are travelling to Sheffield by car, you may find the tram park and ride facilities easier than trying to park near campus. Get off the tram at the University tram stop (all yellow and blue routes stop here) and walk up to the roundabout, turning left onto Western Bank. Firth Court is on the right hand side of this dual carriageway (there are a number of crossing points and also an underpass by the Students Union), approximately 5 minutes’ walk from the tram stop.
Directions to the Council Room
Go into Firth Court (Building number 105, block D3 on this map) through the main doors at the front of the building. Straight up the stairs in front of you, turn right at the top and follow the corridor along until you come to the Council Room.
For disabled access, there is a Porters’ Lodge at the entrance to the building. Please ask here for directions to the lift.
Audience: Technical Staff, Technical Managers, Technical Team Leaders and Staff Development Professionals from HEIs across the Region.
Brief: The Yorkshire HEaTED Regional Network provides a forum for discussion and communication between Technical Managers, Technical staff, and Staff Development/HR colleagues from across the Region. At this time of significant change in the HE environment maintaining a focus on high quality provision of services and taking staff forward through these changes becomes increasingly important.
Outcomes/Objectives: To enable technical managers and technical staff to meet and network with colleagues in other regional HEIs, to discuss current developments in Higher Education that are pertinent to technical staff, to share good practice and to undertake personal development.
