'The Changing Role of the Technician'
Venue: Room 008, Dale Building, The Sciences Complex, Faculty of Applied Sciences, City Campus, The University of Sunderland, SR1 3SD.
Travel and Parking: Campus map showing car park locations and travel information can be found here. Dale Building is number 12. To get to the building come in via Wharncliffe Street, which is off Chester Road (A138). Parking spaces are pay and display and cannot be reserved. Public transport links are excellent and detailed information can be found here.
Arrival: Please sign in at the reception desk in The Sciences Complex stating the HEaTED event.
Audience: Technicians, Technical Managers, Technical Team Leaders and Staff Development Professionals from HEIs across the Region.
Brief: The HEaTED North East Regional Network provides a forum for discussion and communication between Technical Managers, Technical staff, and Staff Development/HR colleagues from across the Region. The Network promotes training events, the sharing of knowledge, skills and best practice amongst Technical staff and increased awareness of the opportunities and facilities provided by HEaTED and member institutions. At this time of significant change in the HE environment maintaining a focus on high quality provision of services and taking staff forward through these changes becomes increasingly important.
