Call for secondary school examples of practical learning
The Centre for Real-World Learning at the University of Winchester is working with the Royal Academy of Engineering to locate secondary schools that are using practical learning approaches in the curriculum. This could be using real-world or industry-led projects, design challenges, cross-curricular projects, practical science, enquiry-based science, simulations, field-work, extended research projects eg the EPQ, or any other approach that involves pupils in ‘hands-on’, self-directed learning.
If you are doing anything like this, we would love to hear from you. Please tell us
- Who you are: Your school name, website address and location;
- What you are doing: in a few words tell us how you use the approach, which subject(s) and with which Year/Key Stage;
- Who we can contact to find out more.
Please send details by Friday February 7th 2020 to Dr Janet Hanson at the University of Winchester: firstname.lastname@example.org
