A giant periodic table mural!
Students have drawn the uses of elements, atomic number, mass number and the symbols of the elements of the periodic table. This also encourages students to learn the order and they can also see which element is in which group which ties in with GCSE chemistry
I have also blutacked the elements so it will also be a good idea to teach Mendeleev as you can take them off and show the students that Mendeleev left gaps in his periodic table, which ties in with GCSE chemistry when they learn the history of the periodic table.
I did this with my year 11's during one off lessons at the end of term and after their mocks to give them a break.
They looked up the uses using their phones and I feel they really enjoyed it as it showed a lot of team work and students liked seeing their work on the wall and seeing the completed display!
