An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Communications Officer to join our pro-active and professional communications team at STEM Learning. We are seeking a dynamic communications professional with a positive, enthusiastic approach who is used to operating in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
The Communications Officer will deliver a programme of targeted marketing and communications activity aimed at schools and colleges to increase customer take up of a suite of products and services offered by STEM Learning. The role will support the Communications Coordinator in implementing the communications strategies, supporting a communications working group, liaising with partners and funders. The role holder will be responsible for the implementation of marketing and communications activities for a national computing programme and communications support for a network of school based Hubs across England.
With marketing experience and a proven track record in coordinating communications activities across a suite of partners, your use of initiative and interpersonal and communication skills will be key to ensure the delivery of a high quality and coherent communications service to internal and external stakeholders.

The National STEM Learning Centre and Network is the UK’s Number One resource for supporting STEM teaching and learning through the provision of CPD, resources, online communities in partnership with a wide range of organisations and individuals. This includes driving forward ongoing development of the STEM Ambassadors and STEM Clubs programmes alongside subject-specific support for all involved in the teaching of science, technology, engineering and mathematics to young people.
Remuneration and benefits
Salary circa £24k dependent on experience. Appointment to this role enables access to the USS pension scheme, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays and a wide range of other staff benefits.
